League recap: Garner Magnet climbs in state rankings

4A Conference 12 recap November 19, 2013

Garner Magnet scaled the state rankings by moving to 46 from 76 this week, the biggest jump in 4A Conference 12. The Trojans climbed the ranks as a result of defeating Holly Springs 63-21.

Knightdale added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Southern Alamance, 38-15. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.

Garner Magnet's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Brighton Hudson has thrown for 1,525 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Nyheim Miller-hines has 26 catches for 588 yards.

In 163 carries Jace Brown has accumulated 987 yard this year.

Knightdale was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting the Patriots. Robert Senseney's team came in at 19 in the state poll after placing at number 39 last week.
