Asheville came tearing into Tuesday's match with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the A.C. Reynolds Rockets. This was payback for the Cougars, who suffered a 3-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 27-25, 23-25, 25-18.

Among those leading the charge was Liz Meyer, who had ten digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted since back in October of 2024. Poppy Jones also deserves some recognition as she had her first kill of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Asheville was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 19 aces. That's the most aces they've managed all season.

Asheville's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for A.C. Reynolds, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-13.

Asheville and A.C. Reynolds should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. The Cougars will challenge Enka at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (137 vs. 304). Meanwhile, A.C. Reynolds (ranked 299th) will meet North Buncombe (ranked 605th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
