Basketball Recap: Mountain View Takes a Loss

Mountain View saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell to the Snohomish Panthers 63-57. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Thunder came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 63rd, while the Panthers are ranked 262nd).

Mountain View's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Snohomish, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mountain View will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Union at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. One thing working in Mountain View's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Snohomish, they will head out to take on Marysville-Pilchuck at 8:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
