Basketball Game Preview: Garden Grove Argonauts vs. Tarbut V' Torah Lions

The Garden Grove Argonauts and the Tarbut V' Torah Lions will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Garden Grove saw some tournament action on Friday. They strolled past Lakeside with points to spare, taking the game 74-56. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Argonauts.

It was another big night for Ethan Juarez, who posted 24 points along with five boards and four steals. That's the most points he has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Neiman Quach, who had 20 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Tarbut V' Torah put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their game with ease, bagging a 77-38 victory over Rancho Alamitos. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 29 points or more this season.

Garden Grove has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points per game. As for Tarbut V' Torah, they pushed their record up to 7-0 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Garden Grove took their victory against Tarbut V' Torah when the teams last played back in December of 2015 by a conclusive 63-40. Will Garden Grove repeat their success, or does Tarbut V' Torah have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
