Volleyball Recap: Thatcher Takes a Loss

Thatcher entered their contest against Snowflake on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Lobos. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since November 11, 2022, but that streak is no more.

Thatcher was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-14, 25-23.

Jocelyn Lunt paced Thatcher's offense, picking up ten kills. Lunt got some help from Alli Johnson and her 14 assists.

Snowflake was led to victory by Lucy Lyman and Amrie Lewis. Lyman had 11 digs and three assists, while Lewis had three digs and three aces. That's the most digs Lyman has posted over her last seven matches.

Thatcher's defeat dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Snowflake, their win bumped their record up to 24-8-4.

Thatcher wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Catalina on the 9th. As for Snowflake, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Alchesay on the 8th.
