Softball Game Preview: Hillside Hornets vs. Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs

The Hillside Hornets will face off against the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Hillside and eight for Southeast Raleigh.

Hillside fell victim to Chapel Hill and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 17-0.

Meanwhile, Southeast Raleigh also failed to score in their most recent game. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 15-0 to Cleveland, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior.

Southeast Raleigh's defeat dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Hillside, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Hillside skirted past Southeast Raleigh 18-17 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Do the Hornets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
