Swainsboro won the last time they faced Vidalia and things went their way  on Friday too. The Tigers enjoyed a cozy  35-20 victory over the Indians. Given the Tigers' advantage  in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Indians are ranked 292nd) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

 Swainsboro can attribute much of their success to  Marco Danford, who rushed for 17 yards and three  scores, and also picked up 34 receiving yards. Those  three  rushing touchdowns gave  Danford a new career-high.
The  win made it two in a row for Swainsboro and  bumps their season record up to 8-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 38.5 points over those games. As for Vidalia, their loss was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-7.
 Looking ahead, Swainsboro will take on Savannah Christian at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Tigers will need to watch out since the Raiders have now posted at least 31  points  in their last three games. As for Vidalia, they will face off against Toombs County at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Indians' defense better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 33.9  points per game this season.
