Volleyball Recap: Valhalla Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Valhalla was the 3-1 winner over West Hills when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Norsemen took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wolf Pack on Tuesday. The Norsemen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Valhalla ultimately came up short, they really made West Hills work, particularly in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 27-29, 25-22, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Valhalla saw an underclassman step up: freshman Natalie Kalosian had 28 digs. Those 28 digs set a new season-high mark for Kalosian.

Valhalla's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for West Hills, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-13.

Valhalla and West Hills could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Norsemen will challenge Mission Bay at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (590 vs. 229). Meanwhile, West Hills (ranked 927th) will meet Santana (ranked 124th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
