Meanwhile, Brentwood had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 63-33 win over Briarwood Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the War Eagles have posted against the Buccaneers since January 30, 2021.

Brentwood's win came from a few key players Thomas Jefferson Academy will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Baylor Cobb, who posted 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tristan Robinson, who earned 14 points.

Thomas Jefferson Academy now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Brentwood, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
