 The Bunn Wildcats lost against the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Tuesday. Bunn fell just short of Roanoke Rapids by a score of  51-49. The  loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bunn in their matchups with Roanoke Rapids: they've now lost three in a row.
 When it comes to explaining why Bunn lost, one person who can't be blamed is  Jameir Strickland. Despite the final result, he  scored 18 points along with eight  rebounds. That was a full 36.7% of Bunn's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's  earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jordan Jackson, who  scored nine points along with six  rebounds.
 Leading Roanoke Rapids to victory were  Bobby Hawkins and  Darren Solomon.  Hawkins  scored 13 points along with five  rebounds, while  Solomon  scored 15 points along with eight  rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Hawkins has scored all season.  Thomas Shabazz was another key contributor,  scoring eight points along with two  steals.
 Bunn has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost six of their last seven games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record  this season. As for Roanoke Rapids, their victory bumped their record up to 11-8.
 Bunn will head out on the road to  square off against  Southern Nash at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Hopefully Bunn focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday. As for Roanoke Rapids, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nash Central at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Roanoke Rapids is facing Nash Central at the right time seeing as Nash Central is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
