Volleyball Recap: Army-Navy Comes Up Short

The Army-Navy Warriors came up short against the Calvin Christian Crusaders on Thursday and fell 3-1. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Army-Navy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-18.

Despite the defeat, Army-Navy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Sean Germani had 36 digs. Those 36 digs set a new season-high mark for Germani.

Army-Navy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Calvin Christian, their win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-11.

Coming up, Army-Navy will challenge Tri-City Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight.
