Basketball Game Preview: Dawson Dragons vs. Klondike Cougars

Dawson hasn't had much luck against Klondike recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Dragons will square off against the Cougars at 6:15 p.m. Klondike took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Dawson, who comes in off a win.

Dawson played against Loop on Friday and won via forfeit.

Klondike is headed into the contest having just suffered their closest loss since February 10, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of Borden County by a score of 52-49. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Coyotes: they've now lost nine in a row.

Dawson's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 9-12. As for Klondike, their loss dropped their record down to 17-6.

Dawson was taken down by Klondike 68-25 when the teams last played back in January of 2025. Can the Dragons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
