Baseball Recap: O'Connor Triumphs

O'Connor saw some tournament action on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Eastwood Troopers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Joaquin Gallo looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, Marcus Morales was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooks Dutko, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

O'Connor now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Eastwood, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 1-1-1.

O'Connor didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 5-4 loss against Anderson on the 19th. As for Eastwood, they will challenge Burges at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
