Basketball Recap: Ellis Skates Past Rawlins County with Ease

Ellis won the last time they faced Rawlins County and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Ellis Railroaders claimed a resounding 65-17 victory over the Rawlins County Buffaloes. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Railroaders.

Ellis' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaren Frickey, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 22 points. That's the most points Frickey has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Aschenbrenner, who posted 12 points in addition to eight assists and three steals.

Ellis' victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Rawlins County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Ellis will take on Logan/Palco in a tournament on Friday. As for Rawlins County, they will square off against Wheatland-Grinnell at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
