Basketball Game Preview: Back of the Yards College Prep Bobcats vs. Goode STEM Academy Knights

The Back of the Yards College Prep Bobcats will take on the Goode STEM Academy Knights in a tournament on Saturday. Back of the Yards College Prep will be strutting in after a victory while Goode STEM Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Wednesday, Back of the Yards College Prep strolled past Mansueto with points to spare, taking the game 57-40.

Goode STEM Academy has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They took a 48-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Johnson on Sunday.

Back of the Yards College Prep is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.3 points per game. As for Goode STEM Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Back of the Yards College Prep suffered a grim 48-26 defeat to Goode STEM Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Thankfully for Back of the Yards College Prep, Fred Boyd (who went 11 for 22 en route to 27 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals) won't be suiting up this time.
