D1 District 8 (8 Man) recap October 29, 2013
Palmer added to the longest winning streak in D1 District 8 (8 Man) this week by beating Shelby-Rising City, 56-20. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Palmer took down the Huskies 56-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kordell Glause threw for 53 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 84 yards in the win.
Colter Glendy provided a threat through the air and on the ground as South Loup fell to Twin Loup. He completed 6 passes for 74 yards and also ran for 115 yards. Glendy's favorite target this week was Layton Dockweiler, who caught 2 passes for 58 yards.
Dexter Griebel was the best wideout in the league this week as the Wolves topped South Loup. Griebel tallied 3 receptions for 92 yards. Brayden Davis helped Twin Loup's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 55 yards.
Twin Loup's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jack Gibbens has thrown for 993 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Griebel has 21 catches for 492 yards.
Nathan Glause's team led the league in scoring this week by notching 56 points on Shelby-Rising City. Glause ran for 84 yards during the win.
