The George Wythe Maroons will head out on the road to face off against the Honaker Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
George Wythe took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Giles a 4-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what George Wythe needed considering they were shutout in their previous game.

Meanwhile, Honaker made easy work of Bland County on Monday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Honaker.
George Wythe has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record this season. As for Honaker, they pushed their record up to 9-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Everything went George Wythe's way against Honaker in their previous meeting back in May of 2019 as George Wythe made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for George Wythe since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
