It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Valle Catholic ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They beat the Duchesne Pioneers by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 5-3. The win continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Pioneers: they've now won six in a row.

Valle Catholic pushed their record up to 19-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Duchesne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-7.
