Basketball Recap: Continental Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Continental can now relate to. They took a blow against the Kalida Wildcats on Saturday, falling 55-8. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured seven defeats in a row.

Kalida's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Meredith Bockrath, who went 5-for-9 en route to 14 points and four steals. Addilyn Huber was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine steals.

Continental's loss dropped their record down to 2-20. As for Kalida, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season.
