Baseball Game Preview: King Wolves vs. Centennial Huskies

The King Wolves will square off against the Centennial Huskies at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Thursday just wasn't the day for King's offense. They took a 3-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Santiago on Thursday. The Wolves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

King saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayden Chavez, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Centennial faced Corona in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Huskies fell 10-5 to the Panthers. The Huskies have struggled against the Panthers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Ethan Miller was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. Jesse Mendoza was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

King's defeat dropped their record down to 8-13. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 15-7.
