Softball Recap: Monroe Township Comes Up Short

If Monroe Township was feeling good fresh off their 15-0 takedown of Perth Amboy on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell 3-0 to the Hillsborough Raiders on Tuesday. Considering the last time the Falcons couldn't score was back in April, the team can't take the result too hard.

Monroe Township saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Juliana Caliandro, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Monroe Township has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season. As for Hillsborough, the win was the 14th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2.
