Soccer Game Preview: Roosevelt vs. Santiago

The Roosevelt Mustangs will head out to face off against the Santiago Sharks at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Roosevelt is headed into the matchup having not lost since December 30 and will look to keep things rolling. They never let King get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Friday. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor in this series.

Jacob De La Cerda and Dominic Fritzges scored both of Roosevelt's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Santiago, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Centennial 2-1.

Roosevelt is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3-3 record this season. As for Santiago, they now have a winning record of 6-5-3.

Everything went Roosevelt's way against Santiago in their previous matchup back in December of 2025, as Roosevelt made off with a 4-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
