 Thomas Jefferson got themselves on the board against Rifle on Friday, but Rifle never followed suit. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past the Rifle Bears  2-0. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for Thomas Jefferson.
  Max Feierstein looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 On the hitting side, Thomas Jefferson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Aiden Benschneider, who  went 1-for-2 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 On Rifle's side,  Logan Gross spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on two hits.
 Thomas Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Rifle, they dropped their record down to 10-8 with that  loss, which was their fourth straight  on the road.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomas Jefferson will  face off against Rangeview at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Rifle, they are on the road again  on Wednesday to play Roaring Fork at 3:00  p.m.
