Preview: Hamilton County Foxes vs. Eldorado Eagles
The Hamilton County Foxes on the road again on Thursday and play against the Eldorado Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Hamilton County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Hamilton County didn't have too much trouble with Flora on the road as they won 65-49. The win was just what Hamilton County needed coming off of a 58-32 loss in their prior game.
Hamilton County got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rayci Phelps out in front who scored 22 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Phelps has scored at least a third of Hamilton County's points. Another player making a difference was Kaylie Brake, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Eldorado's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They fell just short of Flora by a score of 45-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Eldorado has suffered yet this season.
Hamilton County's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-12. As for Eldorado, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-15.
Hamilton County beat Eldorado 54-47 in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Will Hamilton County repeat their success, or does Eldorado have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
