Spartanburg Christian Academy came out on top against St. Joseph's Catholic on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fourth inning. The Warriors put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 12-4 victory. Considering the Warriors have won eight matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Autumn Borla was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off nine hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Hayden Kennedy, who got on base in all five of her plate appearances with six stolen bases and four runs. Those six stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Olivia Mackey also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Spartanburg Christian Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.7 runs over those games. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.

Spartanburg Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for St. Joseph's Catholic, they will head out to square off against Carolina Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a 16-game losing streak.
