Basketball Recap: Lakeside Comes Up Short

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were dealt a 91-56 loss at the hands of the Crestwood Red Devils. The Dragons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-31.

Dekota Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crestwood, going 6 of 11 from beyond the arc on his way to 36 points and eight rebounds. The match was Johnson's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Brody Durham was another key player, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 13 assists.

Lakeside's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Crestwood, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Lakeside will challenge West Geauga at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Geauga will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Lakeside surely won't give up without a fight. As for Crestwood, they will face off against West Branch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crestwood has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 258 points over their last three games.
