Soccer Recap: Alliance Takes a Loss

After flying high against Washington last Thursday, Alliance came back down to earth. The Aviators fell just short of the West Branch Warriors by a score of 2-1 on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Alliance can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio soccer rankings (they are ranked 254th, while West Branch are ranked 109th).

Alliance's loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 5-2-3. As for West Branch, their record is now 7-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Alliance will face off against McKinley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for West Branch, they will welcome Beaver Local at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Beaver Local will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something West Branch surely won't give up without a fight.
