Volleyball Game Preview: Carl Junction Bulldogs vs. Marshfield Bluejays

The Carl Junction Bulldogs will take on the Marshfield Bluejays at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Carl Junction came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Webb City. The loss continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost five in a row.

Carl Junction was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-6, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Marshfield got the win against West Plains on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Marshfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-22, 25-13.

Marshfield has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7-1 record this season. As for Carl Junction, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-11.
