Michael Moreno posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He struck out eight batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits (and only one walk), good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Moreno and Lamesa will be playing at home against Compass Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sadly, Moreno's big day wasn't enough to stop the loss, which snapped the Tornadoes' four-game streak of wins at home.
