Basketball Game Preview: Charlton County Indians vs. Clinch County Panthers

The Charlton County Indians will challenge the Clinch County Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Charlton County beat Lanier County 53-47.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Charlton County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Christian Brown, who posted six points along with seven rebounds and five blocks. Those five blocks gave Brown a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Rowen Lane, who went 5 for 10 en route to 14 points and five boards.

Charlton County was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They are 4-10 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Clinch County didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Irwin County on Wednesday, but they still walked away with a 64-58 victory. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 167th, while the Indians are ranked 439th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clinch County's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-2. As for Charlton County, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-14.
