Baseball Recap: Baker Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Victory

Baker had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Pine Forest on Tuesday. The Gators blew past the Eagles 12-2. The Gators' victory was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Baker got a massive performance out of Riley Renfro, who went 2-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. Renfro is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played dating back to last season. Rand Stokes was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and three runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Baker kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.

Baker's record is now 4-0. As for Pine Forest, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Looking ahead, Baker will take on Laurel Hill at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pine Forest, they will square off against Milton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup will give the Eagles their first taste of in-conference action this season.
