Preview: Central vs. Potosi
Central will take on Potosi at home at 7:00 PM on Friday. Central have bulldozed their previous three opponents, so Potosi might have their hands full.
Central put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 28-7 margin over Ste. Genevieve. Central were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
As for Potosi, Potosi had a rough outing against Ste. Genevieve two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Potosi were able to grind out a solid win over Fredericktown, winning 21-14. The win was a breath of fresh air for Potosi as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Their wins bumped Central to 3-2 and Potosi to 2-3. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Central and Potosi clash.
