Basketball Recap: Gilman Takes a Loss

Gilman was the 63-60 winner over Columbus Catholic when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Gilman Pirates took a 43-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Columbus Catholic Dons on Friday.

Gilman has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-11 record this season. As for Columbus Catholic, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-8.

Looking ahead, Gilman will welcome Fall Creek at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Columbus Catholic, they will head out on the road to take on Auburndale at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Auburndale will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Columbus Catholic surely won't give up without a fight.
