Basketball Recap: Mescalero Apache Snags Seventh Win in Last Nine Games

Mescalero Apache won the last time they faced Alamo Navajo and things went their way on Saturday too. The Mescalero Apache Chiefs rang in the new year with a 43-36 victory over the Alamo Navajo Cougars.

Mescalero Apache is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Alamo Navajo, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mescalero Apache will head out to square off against Ruidoso at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Alamo Navajo, they will venture away from home to face off against To'hajiilee at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
