Volleyball Game Preview: Olmsted Falls Bulldogs vs. Midview Middies

Olmsted Falls has won three straight games at home, while Midview has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will welcome the Middies at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Olmsted Falls earned a 3-1 victory over Berea-Midpark.

Olmsted Falls had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-12, 25-19, 25-16.

Olmsted Falls can attribute much of their success to Delaney Radigan, who had 11 digs and one assist. That's the most digs Radigan has posted over her last ten matches.

Olmsted Falls was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Midview got the win against Elyria on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

Midview never let Elyria on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-13.

Olmsted Falls' win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Midview, their victory bumped their record up to 8-11.

Everything went Olmsted Falls' way against Midview when the teams last played back in September, as Olmsted Falls made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Middies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
