Basketball Recap: Cainsville Comes Up Short

Cainsville lost against Princeton back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Cainsville Redmen had to suffer through a 90-22 loss at the hands of the Princeton Tigers. While losing is never fun, the Redmen can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 493rd, while the Tigers are ranked 78th).

Cainsville's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Princeton, the win keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.

Cainsville will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Breckenridge at 6:00 p.m. on January 27th. As for Princeton, they will challenge Worth County at 7:30 p.m. on January 21st. Princeton has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
