Basketball Recap: Tri-City Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Tri-City Christian Academy was the 78-11 winner over West Valley Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Tri-City Christian Academy fell 46-36 to West Valley Christian on Friday. Tri-City Christian Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading West Valley Christian to victory were Gerald Minott and Finn Van Ness. Minott posted 14 points along with seven boards and four steals, while Van Ness shot 44% from the field on his way to 21 points. Minott is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Savilla, who put up five points.

Tri-City Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for West Valley Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1.

Tri-City Christian Academy has already played their next matchup, a 60-29 loss against Heritage Academy Gateway on the 19th. As for West Valley Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-50 win against Academy with Community Partners on the 19th.
