Basketball Recap: Kaplan Takes a Loss

Kaplan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 21st straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 51-32 to the Hackberry Mustangs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-24 last Thursday.

Kaplan's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hackberry, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Kaplan will be home for the holidays to greet Centerville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hackberry will take on Bell City in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hackberry is facing Bell City at the right time seeing as Bell City is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
