Basketball Recap: Friday's Win Is Mayo's Tenth in Last 11 Outings

John Marshall typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Mayo proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with a 76-69 win over the John Marshall Rockets. This was a revenge game for the Spartans: when they faced off against the Rockets back in January, they had to take a 66-52 loss.

Mayo has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.5 points over those games. John Marshall's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 21-4.
