Football Game Recap: Stayton vs. Philomath/Alsea

Stayton had a rough outing against Cascade last Friday, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Stayton blew past Philomath/Alsea 26-0. Stayton were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

The win bumped Stayton's record up to 2-3. The loss dropped Philomath/Alsea's record to 2-3.

Next week Stayton take on Newport at 7:00 PM. Both of those teams seek to continue their momentum from their previous wins. As for Philomath/Alsea, they will face off against Sweet Home. Philomath/Alsea stagger into the matchup hobbled by three consecutive losses while Sweet Home skip in buoyed by three consecutive wins.
