It was a good run, but Glenbard East unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Libertyville Wildcats by a score of 2-1. If the Rams were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Wildcats when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Glenbard East sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 18-25, 15-12.

Glenbard East's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Libertyville, they pushed their record up to 24-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Glenbard East didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Lake Zurich on the 10th. As for Libertyville, they have also already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Oak Park-River Forest on the 10th.
