With a playoff win on the line, Broadview/Lavina rose to the challenge on Saturday. They snuck past Harlowton/Ryegate/Judith Gap with a 38-33 victory. This was a revenge game for the Pirates: when they faced off against Harlowton/Ryegate/Judith Gap back in January, they had to take a 57-54 loss.

The win (which was Broadview/Lavina's third in a row) raised their record to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points over those games. As for Harlowton/Ryegate/Judith Gap, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
