Softball Recap: Eagan Wildcats vs. Farmington Tigers

It was a proper cat-fight when Eagan faced off against Farmington on Tuesday. The Wildcats took a 7-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. The Wildcats have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Jocelyn McClary put in work no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

McClary wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Izzy Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with one run. That run marked the first that Anderson has scored this season.

Eagan's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Farmington, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.
