Basketball Recap: McDaniel Takes a Loss

On Monday, the McDaniel Mountain Lions had to suffer through a 76-49 loss at the hands of the Silverton Foxes.

McDaniel's loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-3. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 50.6 points per game. As for Silverton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McDaniel will face off against Hillsboro at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Silverton, they will square off against Dallas at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Silverton knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Dallas likes a good challenge.
