Softball Recap: Tipton Comes Up Short

Saturday just wasn't the day for Tipton's offense. They lost 10-0 to the Western Panthers on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-0 on Saturday.

Tipton saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ella Lobeck, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Tipton now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Western, the victory was the 12th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tipton will square off against Logansport at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Berries will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Blue Devils surely won't give up without a fight. As for Western, they will welcome Hamilton Heights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the Huskies have now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests.
