Basketball Recap: Patriot Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Patriot won the last time they faced Freedom and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Patriot Pioneers came out on top against the Freedom Eagles by a score of 67-55. Given the Pioneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while the Eagles are ranked 165th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Patriot pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Freedom, they moved to 9-7 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Patriot has already played their next game, an 87-41 win against Unity Reed on the 23rd. As for Freedom, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 62-46 victory against Osbourn on the 23rd.
