Softball Recap: River Mill Jaguars vs. Cornerstone Charter Cardinals
It was a proper cat-fight when River Mill faced off against Cornerstone Charter on Thursday. The Jaguars came up short against the Cardinals, falling 14-6. The Jaguars were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 12-1.

Summer Basden made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one triple. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna Rominger, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
River Mill's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6. As for Cornerstone Charter, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-7.
Coming up, River Mill will be playing at home against Clover Garden School at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cornerstone Charter, they will challenge North Stokes at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Cardinals are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
