Recap: Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears vs. Lutheran-Northeast Eagles
The Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 57-33 defeat at the hands of Lutheran-Northeast. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Laurel-Concord-Coleridge has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge still got an impressive performance from Carter Kvols, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolby Hansen, who scored four points along with six blocks.
Josh Rojas continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Lutheran-Northeast, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Rojas has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 16 times he's played. Braden Feddern was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five steals.
Laurel-Concord-Coleridge has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season. As for Lutheran-Northeast, their win bumped their record up to 17-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Laurel-Concord-Coleridge is on the road again on Thursday and plays Wisner-Pilger at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully Laurel-Concord-Coleridge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Lutheran-Northeast, they will head out on the road to square off against Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] on Friday.
