Softball Recap: Hudson's Bay Takes a Loss

Hudson's Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 22-12 to the Washougal Panthers. Even if the Eagles couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Hudson's Bay's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Washougal, their win ended a 13-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hudson's Bay will challenge Mark Morris at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Monarchs will roll in looking for their 16th straight victory, something the Eagles surely won't give up without a fight. As for Washougal, they will face off against Hockinson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hawks have averaged an impressive 9.3 runs per game this season.
