Softball Recap: Genoa-Kingston Falls Short of Byron in the Playoffs

Genoa-Kingston and Byron squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Genoa-Kingston had to settle for second. They fell 8-5 to the Tigers. The Cogs' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it seven in a row.

Brooklynn Ordlock was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI. Arielle Rich was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

Genoa-Kingston's record is now 10-21-1. As for Byron, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-16.

As of now, neither Genoa-Kingston nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
